Traditionally all the Health Insurance providers in the Netherlands will publish there prices for the new year around this time. Most of them came last weekend. Not surprisingly the prices went up, reasons for this are the rising age of the Dutch population, costs of staff and medicines. Let’s look a little closer at your options upcoming year.
Basic health insurance will cost around €125 a month next year. With the top insurers raising their prices around 8 euro per month.

Rehabilitation
Medical care by specialists, GPs and midwives
Dental care for children up to age 18
Therapists, such as speech therapists and dieticians
Mental health care
Basic maternity care necessary
Medical help during a holiday or business trip abroad, worldwide

Aanvullende verzekeringen are insurances for care that are not covered in the basisverzekering (basic). If you are healthy and don’t need care regularly it’s better not to take it. But are you trying to get pregnant in 2023, expect dental work etc it could be wise.
